WSUS 3.0 remote console can't connect to server.

I just installed WSUS 3.0 on a new Dell server Windows 2003 Server with SP 2.  Everythings seems to be working ok on the server and I can connect my clients to the server and receive window updates.  I installed the server using the standard setting and I'm using port 80.  I can login to the mmc management console on the server.  The server is behind a firewall with ports 80 and 443 open coming into the server.

What I can't do is connect a remote mmc console to the server.  I get the following message when I try to connect to the server:

Cannot connect to 'Server Name'.  The server may be using another port or different Secure Sockets Layer setting.

I have mmc 3.0 installed on the remote computer.  I don't have SSL installed at this time and so far I've only seen port 80 or 443 listed.  Does anyone know if other ports are being used or know what is causing the problem?

Hi
So if your ports 80 and 443 are open, you can connect using a web browser from your workstation and get an reponse. If you don't get any reponse you have a comunication problem. If you have something on your browser lem me know what.

Not sure how this will help with the problem but I can get the "Under Construction" from IIS on the server.

That means:GOOD you can connect to WSUS, so the configuration for firewall is OK
BAD: the config for WSUS is not OK.

I found out the problem to the MMC access.  I guess I missed reading it but you are required to have domain admin rights for the console to connect to the server.  But my remote computer is not part of a Active Directory Domain.

So my only option to do a remote connect and run it from the server.  I heard there is another way to do it using Workgroups but it sounds like it only works for some people.  No one seems to know why this is from what I have read.

Hi
You can try to launch the mmc using runas command. Then you enter your domain user name and password.
