Links open a new active tab

When I click on a link on a web page, Opera opens a new tab and then makes that the active tab.  Is there anyway to prevent Opera from making the new tab active?

Greetings rmmarsh !

3 ways:
1. Use middle mouse button to open links in background tabs.
2.  Ctrl + Shift + Click on link to open link in background tab.
3. Use mouse gesture ?GestureDown? to open links in backround. You need to change action of gesture before.

Hope this helps, war1
