Can you print from Remote computer to networked printer? We are physically located in the office with our laptops connected to the network. In the network we have a little d-link print server that has a dell printer and multifunction printer/scanner connected to it. We then RDC to a central server where all our files are located. Is it possible to print from the Remote computer the print server where we physically are?

If not is there a way to set this up where you can via web or directly connected machine ect?

by default, Remote Desktop Connection should map all your locally configured printers to the remote session, enabling you to print to your local LAN printers from within your remote environment.
if it's not working for you, check the Remote Desktop Connection settings, by clicking the "Options" button, then "Local Resources" tab, and under "Local devices and resources" checking the "Printers" checkbox. re-connect with these settings applied and you should get the mappings from your local network.

NOTE: this applies to Remote Desktop Connection v6.0 which comes default with Vista. download for XP from here - https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=26F11F0C-0D18-4306-ABCF-D4F18C8F5DF9&displaylang=en

I know it should map the printers but it does not. It shows a printer from the session that is not actually available. The drives are installed on both the local and remote machine, and I tried the upgrade suggestion to 6.0 after that it will display the efax from the local machine but still not the other printers.

Any further suggestions?
Any way to put the printer server online so we can print that way?

you could always create a VPN to the LAN with the print server and config the network printer on the remote machine thru the VPN.
