In my task manager cell_server.exe and applemobiledeviceservice.exe are loaded. Do I need these files? I just loaded Itunes for a new pod touch. Aplemobiledeviceservice.exe I think is for the iphone do I need it for the Ipod?

I can tell you that they are not needed for the iPod as far as I've ever seen.  Might be an iPhone thing.. but I am sure it's not iPod.
