No Array Manager Software on HP DL140 - where can i get it

Hi,
We have just bought and set up a HP DL140 G3, however the usual HP software does not come with the machine.
I need the Array Configuration Manager (Thats ships with the DL 380's I've been buying) to check that there are no disk failures remotely, however I downloaded it and it does not work with the SAS RAID controller,

Has anyone found a solution for this?

For all HP system, by default, if you insert 2 disk drives in and on the first boot up, HP smart start will configure RAID 1 (mirror) for you automatically. If you insert 3 or more drives, it will configure RAID5 automatically. Unless you want to customize or sefl configure your RAID container you then need to download the CD and boot it up to configure. Please disregard the above link, use this one for smartstart download.

the 100 series don't run SmartStart or the Array Configuration Utility, they're not real Proliants in that respect.

Download the software on second link and install it on your HP server. For remote access management to alert you when system failure, download and install HP insight manager. You need to set snmp trap property to communicate with the sim management server. Read the manual and download the software on the following link:

i downloaded the array config manager but it couldnt detect a controller, thought that could be because im using SAS rather than SATA?

The device is LSI Adapter, SAS 3000 Series, 8-port with 1068 -StorPort

I think it's this, http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/locate/69_6227.html so the insight management agent ought to work but it seems there is no local management tool.

Well that wont install due to not being able to find system managment controller, but I think you can have the points for trying so hard anyway

Hi,

I had the same issue, rang Hp and they siad they dont support the ML1XX series raid card manager software even though they suppied the card with the server.

went to LSI site and found

http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/standard_product_ics/sas_ics/lsisas1068/index.html?locale=EN&remote=1
