I am trying to create a Powerpoint Presntataion on CD. Whenever I click on links e.g. a Word Doc, I get a security message:
"Some hyperlinks may contain viruses ................etc"

I need to remove this as there are lots of links and it is incredilbly annoying!

The link suggests that even if you run the file to switch the message off, that when you use the viewer, the security message will still be there,  Is that correct?

I have run the file and it doesn't display any security message until I package it to view on CD or another folder. Then I get the message.

It does say on the link you sent that you will have to enable the security message to view what a user will see on another PC will see.

that's for PP2002, for 2003 the registry editing should work.

It still doesn't work for me I am afraid. I cannot attach a screen dump but it is the same as previous. Within Powerpoint it is fine but from the viewer I get the securty warnings.

Looks like there is no fix! No matter what I do on my PC as soon as I package the file and it is  opened on another PC using the POWERPOINT VIEWER then the message will appear.

Thanks anyway. I'll give you the points.

so you are getting the problem only with the viewer, and not while using powerpoint?

That's correct. If I run the slideshow from within Powerpoint then I don't get the messages.

then i think that the reg fix is only for powerpoint, and not the viewer.

Sounds like it! You can image the scenario though, presenting in front of 200+ people and everytime you click on a link this message comes up. It doesn't look good!

ummmm....
they have written, "during the slideshow"
may be they are talking about running the show directly from powerpoint?!?!?
