Why is Outlook 2003 creating duplicate calendar appointments?

I am having an issue with Outlook 2003 client.

Here is my setup:

Server: Windows 2003 w/ SP1 & Exchange 2003 Server w/ SP1 & Exchange Synch activated.

User1 - Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 & Outlook 2003 & PocketPC w/ Windows Mobile 5.0 & delegations shared to User2.

User2 - Windows XP Pro w/ SP2 & Outlook 2003

User1 Outlook 2003 Calendar appointments are duplicating, but not all of them.  This just seem to have started on Thursday or Friday of last week, of course when I am out of the office.

User2 Outlook 2003 Calendar appointments are fine, it is just User1 who has given delegation rights to User2 to update User1 Calendar appointments.

Does anyone know why this is happening?  And how can I remove all the duplicates without purchasing a third party application?

Thanks for your time and anything you can suggest.

Kris,
Yes, I know, I plan to upgrade to SP2 on Friday.  Wish me luck.  LOL  I will be doing a Windows 2003 Server SP2 upgrade, Exchange 2003 Server SP2 Upgrade and than to top it all off, be doing a SMSE 6.0 upgrade.  So, plenty of stress makers in this whole update process.

But all that aside, is there anything you can think of that may cause the duplicates?

The PPC was set for POP3 before I set it up for Exchange Synch.  I the user deleting the duplicate appointments manually at this time, but I just wanted to make sure this doesn't reoccur for them, if I can prevent it.

Thanks again for all your help.

Sembee,
Do you have a link to a step by step of this?  Reason I ask, is I would like to send it to the user with this issue.  Thanks again for your time.

Kris,
It has seem to cleared up now.  I am wondering if it was something to do with the POP3 being setup on the PPC.

Thanks.
