VMWare server stuck in shutting down. Need to restart.

VMware server stuck on shutting down.  No error message.  I have tried ctr/alt/insert with no result.  I have tried power off with no result.  How can I restart this server?

Hi there,

If your virtual machine is stuck, and using the "Power Off" from VMware application doesn't work, open "Task Manager" on the host and end the process called "vmware-vmx.exe".  Each one of those processes corresponds to a running virtual machine.  If that doesn't work, you can end the VMware application process called "vmware.exe".

Good luck!
Steve :)

It actually took ending task vmserverdWin32.exe to do it.  Thanks for sending me in the right direction!!
