1 item remaining on loading web page

I'm working with a template that I purchased and I'm having a problem when the page loads.  I always see "1 item remaining" displaying at the bottom in the status bar.  I'm suspecting that the swf file is what's causing it, but I'm having a hard time with it.  Could you please help?

oops, sorry.. yeah, i took the dates out.  Now no, I know this is not what it's looking for.  I took the swf file out and it loads fine, so it's got to come from the swf file.

are you using any script on the index page
seems like you are using a javascript to avoid "click to activate" on the index page which is causing issues only on this page, and as the remaining pages don't have the script, they are loading fine.

hmmmm so you 're telling me that the script to avoid the "click to activate" causes this other bug?  Is there a way around that?  Is there a way for me to get rid of the click to activate without having a 1 item remaining problem?

use the method given here to get rid of "click to activate" on your flash objects
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/activecontent/articles/devletter.html

I've tried it and it's not working for me...   I've followed the instructions to a t and still, no luck.

you have to put the two js files in your web root folder and then have to wrap up the flash object with the script code, and it should work without any problems.

can we see the code you are using on your html where its not working?

11/28/08 - I seem to have a very similar problem.  I don't believe click to activate has anything to do with it.  I have watched this symptom develop over the last two months on four XP systems and one Vista system.  Before that the code worked fine.  The click to activate thing happened over a year ago.  If I remove the reference to the .flv file the "1 item remaining" goes away.  Is there any evidence of a virus causing this symptom?  How do I troubleshoot this.  I've tried all of Adobe's suggestions.  Thanks.
