We have a 2003 Standard Edition Server running the Fax service.

It has been working great for several weeks but now the service has stopped and when we try to start it we receive the following error: "Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."

Have googled but no luck finding this error relating to the Fax service.

I ended up putting the fax service on its own server and it appears better.
