Allow non-admin users to display language bar
Hello,
I know most people want to get rid of the language bar, and there's no shortage of methods to do just that. However, I'm trying to *display* the language bar, and allow users to switch between English and the Google Pinyin IME. I'm on XP SP2, my users are not workstation admins, and they are locked out of the control panel, so they can't change the settings manually.
Any ideas?

are you in a domain?

No, this is a NetWare network. However, we're running ZENWorks 7, which allows us to distribute Group Policies.

Yes, I can distribute GPO-type Windows policies. Anything you can put in the Group Policy Object Editor can be pushed down to workstations.
nice....
look under admin templates (user) control panel
you can allow specific control panel applets there, which will let you change the regional setting

Hey, you learn something new every day :-)
I've gotten the language bar enabled, the users can add languages to the bar, but when they attempt to change from Engligh to (for example) German, the language won't change in the bar. But at least they have it now... ;-)

you can also push via policy the languages that they can use :)
