How to delete version from cvs useing eclipse

Hi,

How can I delete a verison from cvs using eclipse?

If you delete using the menu, you need to then Synchronize with Repository

cvs rtag -d <tag> <module>

Have a look under "Configure Branches and Versions...", but I think you can only create, not delete.

There is a remove option here, but it does'nt permanently remove the version. Not sure what use it has.

Can I rename the version?

Right, I have deleted the version from my file system. How can I commit the deletion when I have nothing to synchronise with?

you synch with the repo, not witht the version. Though I'm surprised you'd need to.
