AutoCAD not able to print files with embedded images

Hey guys -

I have a client using AutoCAD, and all of the sudden he is unable to print files with embedded images.  The file prints fine, only the OLE embedment is black.

This is what he wrote to me:

"I have been using Adobe psd files of many sizes in AutoCAD for years with no problem. Suddenly, while appearing ok in print preview, the printout is total black. I don't know what setting has changed. I've tried changing every parameter to no effect. Also, strangely, when the file is saved as a pdf it prints as a picture, but upside-down."

Any suggestions guys?  I suggested calling AutoCAD (but its paid support) or to reinstall the program but thats timely as you gotta reconfigure it all.

Client was messing around some more with the files.  It prints fine to the plotter just not to a HP 9600 printer.

I read something about how the printers had to use a Microsoft driver to print OLE.

    Any help guys?

Printing a dwg with OLE in it is always problematic hehe.

Usually drawing are drawn and borders inserted in Autocad in the 'Landscape' orientation.

Try to plot at this orientation in the plot dialog box, so that no 'software' rotations have to occur.
Also check if the plot orientation is the same in the Autocad dialog box as in the plotter's properties.

I had problems with OLE where the dwg was fine but the OLE was skewed, stretched ect. This simple thing fixed it.
