Users cannot browse one server in domail by server name. Can ping server by name and can browse by IP.

One of our file/print servers in our domain isn't working properly.  Users can ping the servername correctly and users can browse by the server's IP address but they cannot browse by name.  The other DCs are working properly.  The server we are having problems with is the FSMO so it is causing a lot of problems in the domain.

I went ahead and restored AD from my last night's backup.  Everything is OK now.  Must have been something corrupt in AD.  Thanks anyway.
Maybe the computer account in Active Directory is corrupt?

Was it ever working properly?  Do you use WINS or NetBIOS over TCP/IP?  Check the properties of the NIC card on the server.  Under the IP properties, make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is Enabled (on the WINS tab of the Advanced properties).
