copy & paste transitions in Flash 8 pro?

I have a simple flash transition of fading in some text across ten frames with no wipe.

I need to apply this to a LOT of text throughout the movie and I'm wondering if there is a way to essentially "copy and paste" that transition onto new text elements so I don't have to go through the whole process of clicking through the menus and re-making all of the transition choices over and over again.

As always, any help is most appreciated!

You can copy your ten frames in the timeline and paste it into another section of the timeline, then swap out the symbol used in the fade.

There's probably a better, actionscripty way to do this as well, where you can tell each symbol instance to increase alpha.  Maybe someone who's a better programmer can help with that, or you can find some sample code online?

Cheers!
