Visual Studio EXE tries to connect to Microsoft site

When I compile a Visual Studio project into an EXE and run it, it tries to connect to the microsoft site. I get a firewall message for confirmation.

Why does the EXE try to connect to microsoft website and how can I turn off this behaviour?

The project is in C# in Visual Studio 2005.

    Accepted Solution

    Go to Tools->Options

    Select Environment/Startup

    Change "Start Page News Channel" to point to your favorite developer related RSS feed or click around get to know your IDE.
