Why is beremote.exe using 300 mb of ram?

Hi all, I have a Win2k3 SBS server with Backup Exec 11d installed. During routine maintenance,  I noticed process "beremote.exe" was using 300 MB of RAM (precisely 297,556K) even though there were no backup jobs running.

My question is - why does this process eat so much RAM?  Is there a way to reduce consumption?

Thanks!  That seems to have addressed my issue exactly.  However, I'm curious about one thing - I've already awarded points so an answer is optional of course - beremote.exe is the remote agent.  Why is the remote agent running on the media server itself?  Is this needed?
