visual basic software not working properly

Dear experts ,
                        we have some small small visual basic softwares in company used by over employess, they are installed on servers and employees are using them by creating networwork drives and making shortcuts to there systems ,
                            recently we have changed our domain so we have to put all the systems to new domain , we have done that and copied all the shortcuts and all files as it is from the old domain desktops of systems to new domain desktop of the same systems .
                            but unfortunatly some are working and some are not ;-
    like we have a visual basic software called WINTR, used for inventry of banks and all, when we run it its date is not apearing on the top right corner .
kindly guid me what to do

a) You may need to change the screen resolution.
b) If any databases are being used, then you may need to change the connection strings.
