My goodness, now it's worse.  I did as directed and now:
Autofile on desktop does not sync with device
none of my registration codes remain -- they must all be re-entered
all programs on my memory card give error sys 0502 (and they don't open)
my preferences/settings font, background, zlauncher are all gone
all of my memos have lost their categories
software that I had deleted weeks ago is now back on my device

I'm desperate!  I've spent all of this time re-installing the palm software and I'm in trouble because it's not functional for work tomorrow morning...please, what do I do now?

I notice you have another question open "Upgrade Palm TX sync problem" is this related? have you upgraded the palm?

if you search the palm website for your sys error thetre are many reasons - here's one:

I don't know if they are related; the problem with syncing SmartList began when I first got the TX -- and I just recently installed the AutoFile software -- so it would not have begun at the same time.  I have left the developer of that software a question, but no response as yet.  I'll look at the link you gave me and let you know.

the answer at the link suggests the software is oncompatible with the new Palm you have upgraded to.
as you suggest get back to the developer and see what they say.
the sys error on a memory card can also mean it doesn't work properly in that version of palm handheld

I'm sorry, I've made the chronology confusing -- this integrates the two problems:

I upgraded from T5 to TX
SmartList did not sync to desktop
loaded AutoList
began to get the bad local table 1005
contact the developer for solution (no response)
found this website and listed my two problems
uninstalled the palm software
reinstalled the palm software -- from the palm site to make sure to have the most current version
unable to read the memory card

I know it's confusing in writing, and I'm overwhelmed by the sequence of dominoes falling -- I appreciate you hanging in there with me...

from the palm site - it seems to suggest the memory cards only work with certian models 0 what size is the memory card?
