A BUS error, means the CPU cannot access some memory or IO device in the way it is told.
(unaligned memory access, IO address access (for 16,32, etc) quantities. or non existent
physical memory). It mostly signals defective hardware or misconfigured devices.

Appereantly the reboot command tries to invoke something the wrong way.
This might be from an invalid ctrl (I would also expect to see SIGSEGV errors in other applications).

Doing an ltrace or strace might give some more insight what realy happens. (and gdb might help to generate a stack dump).
