Thank you very much for your feedback!

I understood that I have to modify the master page. Could you please instruct me how to open the code to modify it like described below? I found the master pages section and I could checkout the document, but I need some more detailed instructions how to handle the process of checking out and in.

Or you can go even more native and checkout the default.master and then download a copy and edit the line with id="idNavLinkViewAll" and add Visible="false"
That is if you are like me and do not have the famous Sharepoint editor.

open the site in sharepoint designer and edit the master page.....

checkout and chek in can be done in sharepoint designer

it will maintain the version history

after check in you should publish your page then only it will be visible to all users.

Thomas,
I will look for anyother possible solutions to do without using sharepoint designer.

If you want you can download it from microsoft sharepoint designer trial version, no need to enter product key also......it will allow you to install and use it for trial purpose

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=BAA3AD86-BFC1-4BD4-9812-D9E710D44F42&displaylang=en

dont close your designer after opening the site.....coz the trial version counts the number of times you are using designer
