'Publisher failed to allocate a new set of identity ranges for the subscription' during Merge Replication

I've been upgrading from SQL 2000 to SQL 2005 which necessitated re-builing the Merge Replication.

I managed to setup every subscription until the last one failed with the above error.

Not sure if this will help or not...have not seen this error myself.

Thanks Kevin,
I had seen this when I had a trawl of the net, but it's nothing to do with his.

I paid my £200 to microsoft in the end. Turns out when I deleted an unused Publication it removed the identity ranges in one of the system tables for my active Publication because the same tables were iin both!

At lease microsoft acknowledged it was a bug so they shouldn't charge me!
