What is .do files, JSP

Hello,

I am working with a program that has a web interface. Some links within this interface has .do files in their names. I have been looking all over the webapp files and webserver files but no luck finding these files. The app is written in jsp, please explain to me how I can access these files because I need to know how the app handles one of the parameters sent.

Regards
Robert

An URL ending with .do is a call to a Java Servlet.

To find the servlets associated to the .do url's,
open the struts-config.xl file and there you can find the mapping URL <> Servlet  in the <action> element.

E.g.

[...]
<action
      path="/myAction"
      type="package.myAction">
</action>
[...]
In the above example the url is myAction.do
The associated servlet is package.myAction.java

Hello illion20,
There is nothing like .do files, the .do is just a URL pattern, and normally this pattern is used in struts applications, the same can be used in any of the MVC architecture applications, where a Cental controller handles the requestas and for wards the request to the right request processing pages, classes etc.
