Gmail account

My Google account had 97% utilization, and suddenly it dropped to "You are currently using 2758 MB (82%) of your 3341 MB.", but the total size 3341 MB remains the same.   Why would that be?

thx

Greetings ethanjohnsons !

97% utlization was based when max memory was at 2850.  Gmail has been increasing the memory size alot faster lately.  So 82% and 3341 are the correct numbers.

Hope this helps, war1

I meant the my account space.  It dropped 97% to  82 % (2758 MB), which implies some files were removed somewhat???
Did you see 3000 MB file usage recently?  If not, it may be a percentage error as Gmail made changes to the total space alloted.
>> Did you see 3000 MB file usage recently?

yes
Are you missing any emails from All Mail folder?  Did you delete large number of emails from Spam or Trash folder?
>> Are you missing any emails from All Mail folder?

No way of knowing.   There are thousands of thousands of e-mails

>>  Did you delete large number of emails from Spam or Trash folder?

no
Check your All Mail folder for any gap of dates for emails.  If you are not missing any large gaps of emails, the number change is due to Gmail change in data storage.
