We are developing a website and are brainstorming things to have on the site.  Technology wise, what are some good things we should be able to add to our website?

We were thinking an autoresonder, forms and downloabable links.

Got any other interesting ideas that make a website unique?

It's all about services, for me. What is the website all about? What is the reason I should visit it?
Any site I visit, never mind what it is about, I want my experience to be fast, easy and full. I want features, but I want them now (reminds me a song). OpenID to login (or any mean so I don't have to look for the login box every damn time) a "news since your last visit" and a "you should check out this" box are a must, too.
