Failed to establish connection:jdbc:db2//192.1.1.29/50000Entry_DB due to the following SQL exception: IO exception opening socket to server 192.1.1.29 on port 50000

Users trying to log on to the database periodically get this error and after rebooting their systems a few times they are able to connect. Once they are able to connect everything seems to work fine.

There are several users possibly more than a hundred that logon to the database. So if I understand what you are saying. There are limited number of connections that can be open at one time and since users aren't closing their connections, thats causing the server to reject any new connections?

Ok thanks. I will have to speak with my application developers and find out how many concurrent connections the server allows. Thanks a lot for your help.
