Must convert to DOS before bulk insert works

When I save results to file from my native SQL 2005 client.  I always have to convert these files to DOS in a text editor before a bulk insert will work on them.  What setting do I need to change in my client?

    There is no way you should need to convert file to DOS with SQL 2005. Maybe I should ask, what is your data source?

    For conventional files (text/csv/etc)
