apple network sharing

i have one apple laptop and one imac and i am using apple router, both my laptop and imac is connected to apple router through wireless, and i want to create a network between laptop and my imac so that i can share files between my laptop and my imac how can i do that.

    Go to the APLLE MENU and SYSTEM PREFERENCES.  The third row down and all the way to the right is SHARING... click that.  Check the PERSONAL FILE SHARING BOX on one of the machines (or both).  Now in the FiNDER go to the GO menu and select CONNECT TO SERVER.  You can then browse for the machine to connect to.  You'll need the username and password of the target machine to connect.
