Exchange deployment

I am rolling my first Exchange deployment this week but have had only the last week to prep myself. I have built a DC in W2K3 STD and now installed Exchange 2003. Did the ForestPrep and DomainPrep and then installed Exchange. Users that were created in AD before the Exchange installation have now Exchange related tabs in their properties. When i create a new user after the installation all the correct tabs are being displayed such as the Exchange tabs. How do the old users properties get updated??

Thanks in advance.

Extremely sorry, the old users do NOT have any exchange tabs. The users created after the installation do have the Exchange tabs.
    Sorry about that.

if the number of users is less then

in active directory, right click on the old user and then click on exchange tasks option
then follow the prompts on the screen to create a mailbox for the user

if the number of users are more then

use the tool to create their mailboxes at the same time.

    Accepted Solution

you cannot use tool to create their mailboxes. can be used to remove exchange attributes from a set of users.
you can select the old users in sets of 10-15 and right click on the to get into exchange tasks to create their mailboxes
