how I use my application in LAN

Hi
I wrote the application in asp.net and save it in : e:\khadamat
and when I run it in my visual studio 2005 IDE , ie6 was visible and run the application,
no I want to run the application In LAN (local area network),
when an user write in address bar of her/him IE : "http://khadamat"
my application run to him
please help me

you'll need to create a virutal directory on iis to access it

First you need some kind of nameserver if you want to use khadamat name in address bar. Easiest way to use this is to add your computers IP address to another computers hosts file and give it this name you want to use. This hosts file can be located in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc directory. There you should add line for example

192.168.0.100 khadamat

And with this line you can ping your computer from this computer just entering ping khadamat. And also from web browser when you enter this name in address bar, it tries to connect to your computer.

In your computer you must set up web server and set document root to e:\khadamat

ok i made a virtual directory in my iis ver 5 and name it : khadamat and address it to e:\khadamat
,but when I run in another computer in LAN(local area network) , it does not work

I want to know if I make a virtual directory, it is enough to run the application or no?

After creating the virtual directory you also need to check the permission settings on that vitual directory
