Posting to a url

We have a script which emails various details to our domain registration provider.  The email is basically a template which they then process.

Our domain registration provider has now switched to an API system, and no longer accept mail posts.  The API variables are sent via a URL, as follows;

I would like to change the existing system so that it posts the data to the URL (When it gets to the point where the email template is sent) instead of sending the mail.

Is it possible to send url posts through scripting.  I cannot use a form.

I found this link which looks interesting; http://www.perl.com/pub/a/2002/08/20/perlandlwp.html?page=2

assuming that you mean a GET request when you talk about "posting":

wget 'http://domainprovider/process.asp?domain=variable1®istrationperiod=1year'
If I am understanding you correctly, you are trying to emulate the form submission capabilities of a browser via a scripting language.
Refer to the followoing:
Script: Perl (UNIX/LINUX/Windows Platforms)
Description: Sending username and password to some login form

Script: VBScript (IIS ASP)
URI: http://www.earthskater.net/devzone/asp/xmlhttp_post.asp
Comment: the "DataToSend" variable should contain a string with the following format:
