Group Policy Interactive Logon Message

Hello Experts, my question is I know that the Interactive Logon Message in Group Policy is plain text only therefore I am not able to change the font size or anything but Do you wall know of a way and possibly a sample config that I can display a custom HTML page that pops up for a disclaimer and put a logo on it as well. Or if you know another way to do it I would appreciate it.

thanks

Not possible.

This disclaimer and title bar is plain text only - for obvious Security-related reasons.

Web content would be a bad thing if allowed since a hijacked computer could be forced to run malicious code.

As well, there is no shell loaded yet, so much of the functionality of other applications doesn't work in this state.

You CAN change the background bitmap to show a logo - this background would be visible at the logon screen.

The key is:

HKEY USERS\ .DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop - the value is Wallpaper.

That is fine about the HTML web page. That is the only way I see how to do this but I am not sure if in Group Policy there is a way to specify a startup shortcut or how to put something in the run command on all computers to popup with a html page showing the disclaimer and logo of the company. Do you know how to do this or point me in a right direction.

You can use a GPO to run a logon script that is a simple CMD file calling the page.

Something like:

@echo off
start iexplore http://yourserver/page

Thanks for your help you have been great. I will do that. I wish Microsoft would have not done this with just plain text and actually let you raise the font level. It would have been nice
