How to get a drive letter on XP for CREATIVE ZEN?
I bought a Creative ZEN MP3/MPEG 4Gb player today.
On Windows XP I can only access it as a MTP device (through Media Player).
I know there must be a way to surpass MTP and to access the file system on the ZEN.
To my surprise this works INSTANTLY (!) on VISTA!
You can directly copy/move files to and from the ZEN there.

Funny.
Then why does it already work on Vista,
and why is it possible on XP (some guy told me: "but you can't play those files then")?
Something weird.

"A major change like full mass storage support is very unlikely, as it would require a very large change in the player works. Currently the way it works is so the files are sorted through the Music Library.
I can pass on the suggestion, but I just wanted to post this so everyone doesn't hold out to much hope, or to count on this happening."
I dont know anything more then this, and yes, i also think its weird. :)

Thanks.
A telephonic support told me that it is already possible through the menu,
but he didn't remember how.
Let's see if someone on earth knows more .......................... ....

New development: on XP Professional the player is fully accessible.
Just need to upgrade my Home edition system to Pro.
Or, find the missing driver?

Total nonsense: I just tried to access via Windows Explorer, after installing Media Player 11
and now I got what I want.
I can even access the device via Total Commander.
Thanks for your efforts.
