VPN stopped working approx a week ago.

Our VPN stopped accepting connections approx a week ago.  There are no errors in the except a RASMAN error referring to the GRE port not being opened.  When users try to connect it never gets past the verify username / password portion of the VPN login then gives a 721 error.  Remote computer did not respond.  RASMON has an error of 20209 on the server system logs.  Our server has had no issues in the year and a half its been running.  I spoke with comcast and have verified that the router is behaving correctly.  Any suggestions would be helpful.. Other then using the wizards to set the firewall settings is there another way to do this?
