I am working on a product selection form that will make a part number at the end.  I need some help with two things.
1.  Using the Combo box component I want to select a different movie clip based on the selection make. (i.e. if choose item 1 play s1...if choose item 2 play s2)....  How do I ad actions to these selections.....

2.  I want to form a part number at the end.  So there would be say 8 combo boxes that would leak to a 8 part - part #.  How do I link in the data at the end.

Thank you

    in terms of part 1, simply get the selectedlabel using listeners

    function change(evt){
    var action:String =;
    comboBox.addEventListener("change", this);

    function doOtherThing(act:String) {
    switch (act) {
    case "one":
    //do whaterver;
    case "two" "

    etc check help file if you don't know how to use a switch statement.
    then i don't understand what you're trying to do in part 2.
