Blackberry error "User account is in INVALID mode" when sending emails

Hello All.

I have a BES server on a 2003 server. There are about 6 users currently with blackberrys and all work fine except for one.  The error it gets in an email when trying to send emails is

User account is in INVALID mode

Anyone seen this before?

Seen once before due an issue with the service provider. I would suggest contacting them first to make sure that the unit has "enterprise/corporate  data service" or "global data" depending on your service provider terminology. A good self-test would be swapping SIM cards if the devices use them and confirm everything still works (which they'll have you do anyway).

I contacted Verizon about this.
They first suggested that I do a hard reset. Meaning powering off the phone, removing the battery for 2 minutes, and then plugging it back in and turning it on.
Unfortunately, this did not work.
The problem was because this blackberry was purchased a month ago, and the PIN number was not changed over on the Blackberry internet service's website. Once the tech did this for me, I started to get the emails within about 30 seconds.
Question has a verified solution.
