OWA with SBS-2003 Certificate Error

How can I prevent users getting a certifiicate erro when using OWA with SBS-2003? I would like to change the configuration so that a certificate is not required but am not sure of what I need to change.

When you use OWA over https (port 443) a certificate is required.  The only way you can configure OWA to not require a certificate would be to allow connections over http (port 80).  For security reasons I do not recommend this.

The error message you get with the certificate is because the certificate is a self-signed cert by the SBS server.  The only way to use a certificate and not get an error would be to purchase and install an SSL certificate from a 3rd party like Network Solutions or your domain registrar.
As Bluetab said you "can" configure OWA to not using a certificate. You can do so by unticking the "Use SSL" box in IIS and open port 80 on your firewall. But you may put your business at risk. Emails are legal documents so you want to protect your emails using the most secure way.

Take a look at http://www.certificatesforexchange.com/ (GoDaddy certificates) which are $US20 a year - cheap and easy to implement.

This will install the certificate that you created from the server into the trusted certificate source, and away goes the warnings.

Good luck.
