I am loosing mail somewhere in Lotus notes

Hello guys,  
I am new as a administrator for lotus Domino server,  

I have a problem now , two of my clients sends mail to group in their lotus notes 6.5.2 and they tell me that mail does not always get to their destination,   sometimes thei do some times not.  This is probably three recipients that doesn´t receve email from us time to time, and we get no error message that it hasn´t been delivered.

Is this a problem that is fixed with some pathces or is this problem with my mail router,  when i check the mail router events everything seems to be fine at the time the message did not deliver.

Is there maby some other mail router logs that i can see some more information,

My ISP tells me that end  are only incoming messages and my server does not use their smtp to route messages.

Have you guys any clue what i can do to trace where the messages are being lost.

    Turn on mail tracking, and you will be able to trace the message from the workstation through the SMTP send. If you see that it was sent on to the external server, then it should be a problem out of your control, and one that you can follow up with the external SMTP owner.

    I agree.
    If the emails are all internal and use Notes addressing, then you can simply check to see if they arrived at the destination.

    If they are SMTP addresses, then they will be delivered by your ISP/ Mail Service.

    When i use delivery report i get this message.

    Delivery Failure Report
    Your document:      did you receive my email I sent  few sec. ago :  sample
    was not delivered to:      <>
    because:      Your message was successfully relayed by at 17.10.2007 15:12:19 to the remote mail system Outbound support for confirmations is not configured.

    What should you do?
    This message is an informational Delivery Status Notification and does not require any further action.
    Your message was routed to a server which does not accept responsibility for generating Delivery Status Notifications upon successful delivery.  You may assume that the message was successfully delivered if no failure message is received.  Do not expect a delivery confirmation notice.

    This seems to get to the destination,   and there for something that an administrator at the destination have to fix.

    Once it leaves your Notes domain and is deliered to your SMTP server at your ISP, then it is out of your hands.

    You need to check

    1) Did the message arrive ?
    2) If not, you will need to get cooperation from your ISP to trace these issues, and possibly from the receiver Mail Admin.

    Is it possiblle that messageLabs has blacklisted you?  MessageLabs is a spam filtering service. It would appear that DHL uses MessageLabs, so that all mail sent to them first passes through the MessageLabs filtering servers. If MessageLabs blacklists you or your ISP relay, all messages will be quarantined in the spam pail.  Or, even if neither is blacklisted, a specific message can be deemed to have spam characteristics and be quarantined.
