We are currently using Exchange 2003 SP2 with Outlook 2003, we have a partner company that use Lotus Notes with Domino 6.5 and notes client 6.5. Because of the problems with calendaring (propose new time and counter does not work, also no free/busy information) between the two companies we are thinking of using the calendar connector. What we would like to know is do we also need to perform directory synchronisation just to get free/busy information working? (I know the Notes conenctor must be installed) any help or advice appreciated

Exchange 2003 and Lotus Notes coexistance for calendaring only

Lotus Software produced the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet program, and later developed Lotus Notes, a groupware and email system. Following its acquisition by IBM, the Notes and Domino client/server collaborative platform were expanded to include functions such as email, calendars, to-do lists, contacts management, teamrooms, discussion forums, file sharing, microblogging, instant messaging, blogs, and user directories. IBM also release SmartSuite, a comprehensive office suite, and followed that with Symphony, unrelated to the Lotus suite of the same name.
