Network Printer not working

I have a small netwrok, I use the trendnet TEW 452BRp Router as DHCP server asigning dynamic IPs, I need the computers Ips to stay dynamic..  I bopught a Lexmark E120n network printer but it is not working. I think the problem is that the router is aassigning the printer a dynamic IP and the computers get lost looking for it. I tried to assign the printer an static IP but I cannot find the place to do it in the printers interface, How can I fix this?

When you say printer's interface what do you mean?  Also did you not find a setting at all, couldn't access an interface, or the settings wouldn't hold?

One of the most common ways to access a network printer's settings and inteface is with the browser.  Print a configuration page or status page from the printer to see what its current IP address is.  Check the other network settings (e.g. subnet mask, gateway, etc) to make sure the printer is in your LAN.  Then use a browser to access the printer by typing the IP in the browser's address bar.

Let me know how that works.  Let me know if you have any questions or need more information.

Check the Router setup. Many such DHCP servers will allow you to reserve a static IP address for certain MAC addresses. Just enter the MAC address of the printer's NIC there and then assign it a static IP. This way you don't have to change anything on the printer.
The easiest way to change the IP address is from the printer's web page. Just point your browser at its DHCP adress. You'll find the TCP/IP settings in there.

Make sure you use an address that is outside the router's DHCP range.

Thanks all, all coments were valuable and I was able to access the interface trough the browser. It is working now.

your welcome
Did you need any more help with this?  I noticed the B grade.  If you still need help with this or have a question then let us know.  I will be happy to help more if I can.  It is nice to have a chance to earn the A grade or know why it wasn't.  It seems like the answer was complete enough to earn the A. :)

Thanks for the fun question.
