Free/busy setup

I have an Exchange 2000 server and I would like users to use free/busy feature. When I access Free/busy from the Outlook tool bar it tells me "Microsoft Outlook is about to publish your internet free/busy data, and needs you to enter connection information into the Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard." Then it gives me some options like FTP, HTTP Post, etc. I thought if I have an Exchange server I don't need all this. Can anybody please
tell me how to set it up?

Thanks a lot!

What exactly do you want to achieve?
Free/Busy information is published by Outlook automatically to the Exchange server. When a user creates a meeting they should be able to see what other's availability is like.

Thanks for the reply!

Users need to see other people availability for meetings but when I try to use Free/Busy option in Outlook,
it sends me to the wizard that I mentioned.

Thanks!

How are you trying to view that availability?
What you should be doing is creating a new appointment then inviting attendees. As you add people to the list you can see their availability.
However you do need to have Outlook connecting to Exchange as an Exchange client, not IMAP or POP3.

It seems like it's working when I try to use it like you said. The problem is that once in a while, a message pops up saying "Microsoft Outlook is about to publish your internet free/busy data, and needs you to enter connection information into the Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard."

Thanks!

You shouldn't get that prompt.
The free/busy information that is referring to is used to publish the information to a web site, which is not done when Outlook is connected to Exchange. If you have that option enabled in Outlook then disable it.
