Internal Error 2753. apdproxy.exe Adobe Photoshop Album Starter edition.

I installed Adobe Reader 8.1.0 and got an additional software package Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0 that I don't want.  I went to uninstall the program and received an error "Internal error 2753. apdproxy.exe.  I have tried multiple times with the same result and have tried to uninstall/reinstalling Adobe Reader 8.1.  Help me remove this from my pc..  In the logs this is the Event ID: 10005.   (I checked Adobe and of course they don't have anything in the forums or knowledgebase)

Hi

this is the downloader for Photoshop. Try disabling the downloader or kill the process and try again uninstalling it. See the kb below for more info.

Well deleting the keys and tying to uninstall doesn't work for me.  Sure mucking around the registry and deleting every key associated with this software is a possibility but I rather not chance creating other issues.  Since this is a work computer and this was part of the work image..i can only assume it has to do with that.  I ended up going into the preferences and making it NOT the default viewer.. still stinks that I can't uninstall it but atleast it won't case a problem now on.

Also if there is a problem uninstalling this software and you do attempt to mess with the registry, deleting each key manually.  It might be worth while getting a registry cleaner ...that is free ..if there are any.
Hi zjessez

I am a little confused about your comment and grade.

I have given you a solution to your problem and you have decided not to pursue this because of concerns re system issues. This is perfectly fine. In the end that is why it is imperative that you backup your registry before attempting your changes, even then regedit is not for the faint hearted and can get cumbersome.

What baffles me is that you contemplate using a free reg cleaner that will indiscriminately clean out your registry of all it deems obsolete.

I am concerned that anyone reading your comment may think that this is the way to go. It is NOT and free reg cleaners have a track record of leading to instable systems more often than not so it would be irresponsible form me to recommend one.

I also do not understand the C grade, you have posted your reluctance to follow the advice, this does not mean that the advice was bad. If you want to grade using a C at least wait more than 3 minutes from your last post to give me a chance to respond.

Respectfully

The grade is C because:
1.)  The level of complexity required to mess with the registry.
2.)  No explanation of what this error means and why it occurs.
3.)  Appears to be no simple solution.

C is average..and I don't see anything wrong with average.
