Sent Items not syncing Windows Mobile 6

When sending a message through the messaging program, everything works properly except that no copy of the message is left in Sent Items.  I have checked the box under options to keep a copy of messages in sent items.  Also under Tools-Manage Folders the Sent Items folder is checked and has the little Active Sync Icon.

Any ideas?

    there are probably multiple accounts setup. Check the Sent Items folder in all you accounts.

    Try this...

    On the mobile device, go to Menu --> Folders, then Menu --> Manage Folders.  Now scroll down to sent items and mark that folder for syncing.  By default, wm6 for smart phones does not sync that folder.  I believe it does for wm6 on the pocket pc though, but don't hold me to that.

    ITquestions: The folder is already checked.

    Mikal613:  This is the only account on this phone.

    Starting to get a little desperate here.  If anyone has any other suggestions they would be greatly appreciated

    Try looking under

    Options --> Sending

    Make sure that that "Save copies of Send Items" is marked.

    So finally got this solved:

    The user was using a copy of Outlook 2000 French.  In French sent items is "Elements Envoyes".  We had to export everything into a .pst then delete his mailbox.  Recreate the mailbox and then use Outlook in English as the first client to access the mailbox.

    After that everything worked as it should.

    Thanks everyone who tried to help  hopefully this may help someone else in the future.

    Is there any way (i.e. by registry key on the mobile side) to instruct Outlook to save sent items in a specific folder? I'm experiencing the same problem (mobile in italian, exchange in english, "Posta Inviata" on mobile side, "Sent Items" on Exchange side)
