I have a Sun sparc 5 with 5.7 on it. I don't know much about this thing but the browser is called HotJava for Solaris. I have know idea how to configure this thing. It is version 1.0.2 if that helps. I doesn't work but it returns a message to check my proxies? I'm using IE6 and I don't see any place for a proxie, where could one even find a proxie

Hi,

Basically you need to see if there is "Options" or "Configure" tab in your browser.

Proxy setup is basically an ip address and port number (or a FQDN e.g. proxy.domain.com and port 8080) for http, etc. traffic.

If you do not have proxy in your setup (network), just disable this option.

You may consider installing another browser like netscape. Links below are for netscape browser.

Hi,

You uncompress it with gunzip (if you do not have it you need to download it. See sunfreeware.com and see your particular OS version).

Then you untar the resulting tar file. I think it will be under netscape dir. If you face a problem in doing that, just let me know and I will help in doing a step by step installation.
