When I connect S-video Adapter (Svideo from laptop to Video TV) + Sound jack from laptop to AUDIO TV . I get good sound but the video is not clear, why is that? I mean the picture is good but its just not sharp and clear enough for me to enjoy what I see, I have a 27 inch tv if that matters. my laptop has seven pins, but iam using a four pin jack.(hopefully thats not the problem, because all the svideo jacks that i see around in stores have only four pins connection. Oh by the way the reason iam using a video adapter is because My TV does not have S-video
am i doomed to this picture or there a software/hardware fix for this

Unfortunately your probably getting the best picture out of that S-video adapter.
DVI is the best, VGA, S-video, Composite video (RCA).
Especially if you re watching it on a 27 inch TV. You re limited by the signal quality and resolution lines.
No adapter will provide you with the quality you want unless its built in your TV. You will always downgrade your signal to your TVs best input.  Which is just Composite RCA.

oh wow thats not good, well i mean my laptop has a VGA would that make it better, or would it still be kind of fuzzy?

    Accepted Solution

You can buy a box that will convert signals from VGA but its not worth it. The results will likely be the same or worse depending on the quality of the converter.

Try using good quality cables. Might make a small difference.
