Reenabled AD Account but Mail is Rejected
Last night I disabled an account in AD. This morning I reenabled the same account however when sending mails to the user they are rejected with the NDR message. Mail was refused.
I've chcked permissions on the account and all looks ok. Any ideas why mail is being rejected. I've waited over an hour.

whats the mail box look like in ESM has it a red mark. try running the recipient update
the replication takes time. moreover the information is cached which takes time to flush.

I needed to purge the mailbox, clear the atributes from the user in AD then reconnect the mailbox to the user and wait, problem solved after policies applied.
