How do i troubleshoot hyper terminal to reset my router 2600 cisco's password?

Hi

I want to reset my router's password. However, when I power cycle my router and press break, ctrl + break or ctrl + F6 + break it doesnt give me a ROMMON mode. I have windows 2003 server on an IBM machine. I have also tried pressing space bar to send break signals.

I dont have a clue at all. Previously, the same machine and hyperterminal was used to reset the password. But now its not working at all.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
