Urgent!!! Need some help!!! Can not add a Member Variable to my ressource 500 points grade A

Hello,
I need some help with any error in my Visual Studio 2003 C++.
On my current  programm...everything works just fine. I have some buttons with member variables.
Now I had to add a new button and edit boxes.
When I did a right click with my mouse on any item in my dialogbox I can not add a member variable any more.
Also I don´t see anything under the yellow flash button.
How can I fix this???
Please let me know.
500 points grade A for a fast solution
Best regards,
Thomas

From the build menu perform a 'clean' of the solution.
close the solution (visual studio).
Start visual studio again and open the project again - is it OK now?

delete the .ncb file in the project directory when the solution is closed.

Hi Andy,
that will not work.

close the solution (visual studio).

I also deleted the file ==== will not work.
For you information. This is a SDI. I have this trouble with one DialogBox.
When I select the InfoDialogBox....I can add member variables with the wizzard.
I can not do this to any res. of my dialogbox any more. I did this before?????

Best regards,
Thomas

I've experienced this bahaviour before - it seems to be an intermittant bug in visual studio.

Is there a .clw file with VS 2003 (I don't have that particualr version)  If yes then try deleting that and re-opening the solution.

I have version 7.1.3088
I have deleted any .clw file. There were just 3 old ones.
But still does not work????

Hmmm.
Make a copy of the directory first.
Add a new dialog to the resource file.
Copy the contents of the 'problem' dialog to this new dialog.
Modify the .h file of the dialog so that it uses the new dialog resource (change the IDD_ ).
Close then re-open visual studio.
Try again to add a member variable.

Hi Andy,
I added a new dialog to my program. I can not add a member variable to the new dialog.

.... (change the IDD_ ). I checked the IDD of my resource view and the IDD in the header file of my dialog
'problem' dialog.
WOW I think I find the bug. On my resource view the IDD was IDD_THYSSENSCHULTEDIALOG and in the h.file IDD_THYSSENSCHULTE . I changed the IDD to IDD_THYSSENSCHULTEDIALOG and it works.
I think I once have changed the dialog to ...IDD_THYSSENSCHULTEDIALOG and the change was not made in the h.file.

But one strange thing: I can now add a  member variable to the 'problem' dialog to any button, editboxes etc. but when I try to add a member variable to the new dialog....I can not do this like before.

ps.
You don't have any need to add '500pts grade A' to your question title - one sees how many points are on offer and you should give a lower grade if the answer helped wasn't so usefull in itself (eg. search google for XYZ)
The 'Urgent' and 'need some help' are implied

Can not add a Member Variable to my dialog ressource
would be suitable as a title
