Backup exec 10.0 64bit agent for windows

I have Backup exec 10.0 v.5520 sp1, hot fix 15,19,13 & 17 installed on a windows 2003 cluster.  I have a new windows 2003 server 64 bit edition of windows.  The agent wont install on it from the backup exec server or manually at the server.  When i try to do any updates patches on the servers it wont upgrade and just rolls back.  I am really losing hopw with this product.  I cant do anything please help....

I find the symantec site totally useless.

Upgrade to Backup Exec 10.1.5629 and install the latest service pack (its a free upgrade). Then push install the remote agent on the remote sever or install it locally on the server (64 bit version)
Find the links for the download below

If you are not interested in the upgrade you can still install the agent

Hi anytime i try to run any sort of update on the server it says
This is an SSO primary server.  You must stop the backup exec services in all of the secondary servers before the install .....  i have a 2 node cluster so i checked in beutility that the server i was trying to do it on was the primary and it is.  I dont know what other services to stop.  If i stop the services via cluadmin it will stop all the backup exec services on the server i am trying to upgrade.  I know it is my lack of knowdlege but it is really frustrating that i cant get anywhere,  I have most of the updates download you mentioned above but like i say i cannot run any of them.

Thanks

Microsoft Cluster

Before installing this Service Pack to Backup Exec 11d media servers on each node of a Microsoft Cluster, stop the Backup Exec services using "Cluster Administrator."

SAN Storage Option (SSO)

Before installing this service pack on a Backup Exec 11d media server that is using the SSO option first make sure that there are no backup or restore operations running on any of the media servers in the SAN.

Apply this service pack to the primary SAN SSO server first then to all of the secondary servers.

it applies to installation of remote agent too as that is the only way of applying any updates on a remote server
