How Do I scan with a Symbol MC50

I recently purchased a Symbol MC50.

The Image Scanner works fine with the Symbol Demo Program.  The Scanner also activates when I use the rapid deployment client.

But when I press the scan buttons in Internet Explorer or Notepad  the scanner doesn't operate.

Reading the documentation I see that Symbol refers to Scanner enabled Applications.  How can I get the scanner to operate outside the Symbol Demo program and the rapid deployment client.

Thanks

Correct answer.  I actually found the same answer from Google earlier.

You have to enable the DataWedge.  It will allow you to scan in any application. It is usually already installed with Symbol hardware.   It can be found under Start-Programs-File Explorer.  It is then in the Applications directory.  Running "ScanWedge.exe" allowed me to scan in IE.
(I used a Symbol 9000 and IE interfacing ASP web page, but it should work with any other app, too.)
